Andrea Clavarino
Chief Executive Officer

Andrea Clavarino, born in Mar del Plata (Argentina) on 24 January 1957, is married since 1992 and has two daughters.

He graduated in law in 1980 at the Genoa University and that same year entered the Coeclerici Group.

Andrea Clavarino has held different positions within the Group.
He was Director of the Johannesburg office, Marketing Director and Director General of the Trading division.
He is presently Member of the Board of Directors of Coeclerici SpA, in charge of the Group’s investment strategies. Besides, he is Chief Executive Officer of the Group Logistics division and has responsibilities for Insurance and Institutional Affairs.

Since 1999 he has been the Chairman of Assocarboni, the International Association of Coal Operators, grouping more than 80 international coal operators representing the entire coal value chain, from coal miners to the electricity producers, based in Rome and represented in Brussels.

Since 2001 he has been a Member of CIAB, the Coal Industry Advisory Board, the coal consultative body part of the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris.

Corrado Cuccurullo
General Manager Operations

Corrado Cuccurullo, born in 1964 in Naples, married with two daughters.

After a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering obtained at Naples University in 1989, he has joined Coeclerici in 2006 after having worked for 10 years as Technical Manager for major Italian shipyards and for 9 years as RINA surveyor in Italy and abroad.

Giordano Scotto d'Aniello
Head of Commercial Dept.

Giordano Scotto d’Aniello, born in Monte di Procida in 1960, married with one child.

In 1994 obtained Master Marine Licence of ocean-going vessels-Merchant Marine.

He started to work with Sidermar Spa shipping company where he achieved the position of Chief Mate on bulk carrier vessels employed in worldwide trading.
In 1998 he was employed as Marine Inspector for Sidermar Trasporti Costieri.

In 1999 he joined the operation department of the Coeclerici Group in Genoa and Montecarlo offices.

Since 2004 he has been working in the Group’s Logistics division where he now holds the position of Head of Commercial Department.

Fabio Torriani
Procurement and Quality Manager

Fabio Torriani, born in Genoa in 1963, married with two daughters.

Graduated in Genoa where he started working in a Maritime Agency.

He worked for many years as Purchasing Coordinator in the Technical Department of Italian ship owners such as Italia di Navigazione SpA in Genoa and D’Amico Group in Rome.

He is RINa qualified Internal Auditor for ISM, ISPS, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

In 1999 he joined the Technical Department of the Coeclerici Group’s Logistics division, where he has achieved the position of Procurement and Quality Manager.

Giacomo Clerici
Country Manager Indonesia

Giacomo Clerici was born on 8 March 1975 in Lugano (Switzerland) and he is married with two children.

He is actually responsible of the Group’s logistics activities in Indonesia and Managing Director of Coeclerici Far East (Pte) Ltd, fully owned subsidiary of Coeclerici S.p.A, a private multidivisional company founded more than 120 years ago in Genoa (Italy) involved in coal mining, trading, distribution, shipping (dry bulk ships) and logistics activities (transhippers, floating cranes, etc.) serving the power, steel and cement industries around the world.

He started his career as junior controller in Pirelli (Milan) then moved to RCS Media Group (Milan) and subsequently to Graham Beck winery (South Africa) before joining the family business in 2004. He has held different positions within Coeclerici Group, acting first as Group financial controller and then as Chief Financial Officer and in 2010 became Member of the Coeclerici SpA’s Board of Directors, before moving to Singapore in 2012 to oversee and stimulate the growth of the Group in the Asia Pacific region.

He has an extensive knowledge of Corporate Finance (Syndicate Loan, Project Finance, Pre export and Trade Finance), Accounting (IFRS and local GAAP) and Information Technology (ERP, Treasury System and Business Intelligence).
